Terms & Conditions

1. Orders, Payments & Confirmations  
  • Enquiries do not confirm bookings. Orders are only secured once a non-refundable 50% deposit is paid.  

  • Please include your full name as the reference when sending payments. Deposits must be made by deadline as outlined in your Order Overview Message. Failure to provide proof of payment within 48 hours risks your collection slot being released. No payment is to be sent after 48 hour period – Confirmation regarding availability must be made by Tee Cakes (N Treats) before sending payment as your slot will be released.  

  • Prior to payment, you will receive an Order Overview Message summarising your order details including flavour, size, colours, add-ons, and collection date. This message is your final confirmation—please check it carefully. (SEE CLAUSE 5 - DESIGN, CHANGES & SATISFACTION SECTION) 

  • Remaining balances must be paid at least 24 hours before collection via bank transfer (with payment confirmation).  

  • Orders will not be released to customer without receiving full payment.

  • Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstance, except if Tee Cakes (N Treats) cancels the order. (SEE CLAUSE 4 -  CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS & RESCHEDULING)

Email Enquiries: 

  • You’ll receive an invoice with payment instructions and an ‘order overview’. 

  • Invoices expire after 48 hours of inactivity. 

  • Final balances must be paid at least 24 hours before collection (as per your invoice).

Non-Email Enquiries (e.g., Instagram, Whatsapp): 

  • An order overview and payment details will be sent via your chosen contact method. 

  • A screenshot confirming payment is required to complete the booking. 

  • Failure to provide proof of payment risks cancellation of your order/not being booked in.

Unpaid or inactive bookings will result in your collection slot being released.

2. Collections, No Shows & Storage

All orders are collection only from Heywood, Manchester (OL10 4UH). The full address is provided after initial payment is received. 

A 15-minute grace period is allowed for collection; a £5 late fee applies if you arrive later than 15 minutes of the agreed collection slot.

If you fail to collect your order 15 minutes after your collection slot: 

Your order will be held for 24 hours only. 

Re-collection within this 24-hour period is subject to Tee Cakes (N Treats) availability & is chargeable at a rate of £15 (inconvenience fee & late fee). 

If no contact and/or collection occurs within the 24-hour period, your order will be discarded or resold with no refund issued to you.

Storage & Handling Advice: 

Always carry cakes from the bottom and transport cakes - avoid tilting or holding it from the sides to protect decorations. During transport, place the cake on a flat surface (passenger floor/footwell is best) in a cool air-conditioned environment. 

Refrigerate cakes immediately upon arrival and remove from fridge 30 minutes before serving. 

Leftovers should be stored in airtight containers and following the ‘Use By’ guidance that accompanies the order: Cakes are best consumed 3 days after collection; cupcakes for up to 2 days.

Once a cake leaves my premises, Tee Cakes (N Treats) am not liable for any damage caused by transport, mishandling, or storage. 

If a customer requests repairs due to mishandling, a repair fee covering (but not limited to) materials, labour, and travel will be charged, subject to availability.

3. Allergen Disclaimer

All cakes are made in a kitchen that handles all major allergens. While every effort is made to prevent cross-contamination, traces of allergens may still be present. 

It is your responsibility to disclose any allergies or dietary needs when placing your order. Full allergen matrix/ingredients list can be provided on request.

4. Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling 
  • Cancellation requests must be made with at least 14 days notice prior to the collection date. 

  • Orders may be rescheduled provided there is a minimum of 14 days’ notice from the initial collection slot. New collection slot must be provided within 7 days of rescheduling notice otherwise your order will be subject to the ‘cancellation/rescheduling policy’.

For cancellations/rescheduling with 14+ days’ notice: 

  • Deposit remains non-refundable. 

  • If the order was paid in full, and customer wishes to cancel their order, 50% of the total payment will be refunded. For 'rescheduling' orders, 50% of total payment will be refunded if customer wishes to cancel the order, resulting in loss of deposit. (Rebooking is subject to availability).

For cancellations/rescheduling with less than 14 days’ notice: 

  • Cancellations/Rescheduling requests made with less than 14 days' notice will result in loss of the deposit without the possibility of a refund.  

  • If the order was paid in full, no payment will be refunded. 50% of total paid amount will be converted to store credit, valid for 12 months. (Rebooking is subject to availability).

  • If Tee Cakes (N Treats) cancels an order, full amount paid by customer will be refunded.

​

5. Design, Changes & Satisfaction 
  • If specific details (e.g. icing colour shade, topper, font style) are not clearly communicated, the design will be left to Tee Cakes (N Treats)’ creative interpretation. I will always aim to meet your vision but cannot guarantee exact replication of inspiration images. 

  • Failure to confirm/provide specific details mean your order will be completed according to Tee Cakes (N Treats)’ interpretation. 

  • Customers will receive a photo of their completed cake(s) the day before/on the collection day. At this point, no changes can be made. No refunds will be issued if the cake matches the final agreed design as outlined in the ‘Order Overview’, even if a customer changes their mind at the time of collection. 

  • All design, flavour, or add-on changes must be requested at least 2 weeks before collection. 

  • Taste is subjective, and while all cakes are made to high standards, no refunds or remakes will be provided based on taste preferences.

6. Incorrect Orders & Errors 
  • If Tee Cakes (N Treats) makes an error (e.g., incorrect cake flavour), every effort will be made to: 

  • Remake the cake and reschedule collection where possible. 

  • If a remake is not feasible, the client may choose between a partial refund (up to 25%) or 50% of total cake amount rewarded in store credit valid for 12 months. 

  • Errors caused by unclear customer instructions are the responsibility of the customer and not refundable.

7. Marketing & Business Rights 
  • Tee Cakes (N Treats) reserves the right to use photos of cakes for promotional purposes unless customers explicitly request otherwise. 

  • Repeat policy violations, unpaid balances, or failure to comply with collection terms may result in being banned from future orders.
